This embodies our belief that in Ormesby Primary School we aim to develop a happy, caring and considerate community in which each individual member is striving to achieve his or her full potential. The school seeks to advance quality in instruction and learning in fundamental subject areas. These will not only improve the lives of the kids but also foster personal growth and development, enabling them to grow into autonomous, socially adept teenagers and adults who can participate fully in society. At first light, an elderly man was strolling along the beach when he saw a young man in front of him collecting starfish and tossing them into the water. The old man asked the young man, who had caught up to him, what he was doing. The reply was, "If these starfish are still on the beach when the sun rises and burns them with its hot heat, they will perish." The young man gave the starfish in his palm some thought before tossing it into the water without incident. It has an impact on this one, he said. The young man's deeds symbolise something unique in everyone of us. All of us have been given the capacity to change the world. Every day at Ormesby Primary School, we strive to positively impact one another.
